The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Backend Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems that power our healthcare platform. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with modern technologies while making a meaningful impact in the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable, secure backend services using Python and Fast API
Develop and maintain cloud-based infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Create and optimize database schemas and queries using Postgre SQL and SQLAlchemy
Collaborate closely with the product team to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Establish and maintain best practices for software development, code quality, and technical documentation
Implement robust data collection and analysis systems to support business intelligence
Ensure platform security and compliance with healthcare industry standards
Create and maintain API documentation using Postman
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior team members
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Minimum 2+ years of experience in backend development (1+ year if completed Master’s degree)
Advanced proficiency in Python and related frameworks
Strong experience with Fast API and RESTful API design
Hands-on experience with Postgre SQL and SQLAlchemy
Proven experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experience with API testing and documentation tools like Postman
Strong understanding of software development best practices and design patterns
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and team collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the healthcare industry or healthcare technology
Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA, HITECH)
Experience with AI/ML technologies and their practical applications
Experience with microservices architecture
Contribution to open-source projects
Experience with agile development methodologies
