Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Service Now Lead and Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of Service Now solutions, with a focus on Discovery , ITSM processes, and integration. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure the solution meets business and technical requirements while driving operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the architecture and implementation of Service Now ITSM, Discovery, and integrations with other enterprise systems.
Define and implement best practices, solution designs, and technical standards for Service Now applications.
Oversee end-to-end technical design and implementation of Service Now solutions, ensuring alignment with business processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and translate them into Service Now configurations and solutions.
Lead the integration of Service Now with third-party applications using REST, SOAP, and other integration technologies.
Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on Service Now configurations, workflows, and best practices.
Provide expertise in Service Now Discovery, CMDB (Configuration Management Database), and Service Mapping to ensure accurate and efficient data mapping and visualization.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Service Now platform performance and integrations.
Stay up-to-date with the latest Service Now features and releases to provide recommendations for new functionality or optimizations.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration manuals, and integration guides.
Ensure adherence to Service Now development and implementation standards.
Participate in client meetings and workshops to understand requirements and present technical solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience:
7+ years of experience in Service Now administration, development, and architecture.
Extensive experience in Service Now ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change Management, etc.), Discovery , and CMDB management.
Proven track record of Service Now integration with third-party applications (REST, SOAP, etc.).
Strong hands-on experience in Service Now Discovery configuration, including setting up probes, sensors, and data collections.
Experience designing and implementing end-to-end Service Now solutions for enterprise-level customers.
Proficiency in Service Now scripting (Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, etc.).
Experience in Service Now Performance Analytics and reporting.
Certifications:
Certification Mandate: CIS ITSM or CIS Discovery (one of these certifications is required).
Additional Service Now certifications (e.g., CIS Cloud Management, CIS Security Incident Response) are a plus.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of ITIL processes and frameworks, particularly related to Service Management.
Expertise in CMDB , Service Mapping , and Discovery capabilities in Service Now.
Proficient with Service Now Studio , Orchestration , and Flow Designer.
Knowledge of Java Script , REST APIs , and SOAP web services.
Experience with Service Now platform upgrades and patching.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven leadership abilities with a track record of mentoring and guiding junior staff.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in Cloud Management , Security Incident Response , or Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) in Service Now.
Familiarity with Service Now Performance Analytics and Reporting.
Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (Jira, Confluence).
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, network topology, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).
