DEPARTMENT - ManufacturingLEVEL - StrategicROLE - Middle ManagementDESIGNATION - Manager – Production Planning & ControlREPORTS TO - GM – ManufacturingMINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED - Industrial Engineer / Production Engineer preferably with Masters in Supply Chain ManagementEXPERIENCE REQUIRED - 12-15 yearsUNIT / PROFIT CENTRE - Kanam LatexLOCATION - NagercoilLOCAL / EXPAT - NeutralThe Production Planning Control Manager, will be responsible for overseeing and managing company's overall Production scheduling, supply chain, and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity of each of the factories.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement production plans, schedules, and capacity requirements to meet customer demand and optimize production efficiency.Collaborate with sales, operations, and procurement teams to align production plans with demand forecasts and inventory levels.Monitor inventory levels and manage resources efficiently based on Production schedules assigned to each factoryCollaborate with procurement, logistics, and suppliers to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and finished goods.Manage MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and inventory levels to balance cost and availabilityDrive efficiency in planning processes through ERP system optimizationAnalyze production data to identify areas for improvement to enhance productivityCollaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials to meet the Production schedulesMonitor and Report progress on variance / deviations from schedule and reasons for the same including completing a root cause analysis and recommending actions.Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels by analyzing sales trends, production capacity, and lead timesCollaborate with sales and marketing teams to gather data and inputs for accurate demand forecastingTrack and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output, on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction.Track, analyze and report capacity planning, capacity utilization, headcount planning, resource allocation, order release, dispatch/shop scheduling, and the in-process expediting function at each of the factories.Generate reports and provide insights to management on production and inventory performance.Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization in production planning and inventory control by implementing best practices such as lean methodologies, and automation tools to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.Control various load factors to ensure maximum utilization of available capacity taking into
