Role Overview

 

We are looking for a Quantitative Researcher to join our small, high-impact team. As the second Quantitative Researcher on our team of four, you will play a critical role in researching alphas, devising and back testing new trading strategies, and optimizing execution efficiencies. You will work closely with the quant team and developers to convert research insights into actionable, profitable strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

·     Alpha Research: Conduct in-depth research to discover new alphas, focusing on market inefficiencies and signals that can be exploited systematically.

·     Strategy Development: Design, back test, and optimize trading strategies using quantitative techniques to maximize performance and minimize risk.

·     Execution Strategy : Develop efficient execution methodologies that align with the firm’s strategies, leveraging low-latency infrastructure where necessary.

·     Data Analysis : Work with large datasets, develop insights, and use statistical methods to improve existing strategies or develop new ones.

·     Model Validation : Ensure robust validation of models and strategies, including stress testing and risk assessment.

·     Collaborative Integration : Collaborate with software engineers to seamlessly integrate research models into the trading infrastructure.

·     Performance Evaluation : Continuously monitor and evaluate strategy performance, making adjustments as needed to enhance profitability.

·     Industry Research : Stay updated on the latest academic research and market trends to keep strategies competitive.

 

 

Qualifications

 

·     Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Financial Engineering).

·     Strong proficiency in Python; familiarity with C++ is advantageous.

·     Experience in quantitative research, alpha generation, and systematic trading strategy development.

·     Proficiency in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data science techniques.

·     Ability to work with large datasets and develop data pipelines.

·     Collaborative mindset, with strong communication skills for working closely with software developers and traders.
