ROLE AND BACKGROUND: Senior Product Analyst: The Senior Product Analyst will play a critical role in delivering cutting-edge data analysis and visualization solutions tailored to the product team. Your extensive expertise in analytics and data visualisation will be instrumental in transforming complex financial datasets into actionable insights for both internal teams and clients. This role requires you to collaborate closely with product leaders. Your technical proficiency in SQL, Power BI/Tableau, Python, A/B Testing and experience in product analytics will be essential in driving innovation, enhancing data processes, and ensuring seamless delivery of data-driven solutions to clients and stakeholders. This role requires working closely with product team to enhance product performance, conducting deep-dives, RCAs and impact assessments, assisting team in GTMs, enabling tracking of performance via dashboards for leadership and product managers. Location: Bangalore Experience: 6-7 Years Education: Preferred Tier college Responsibilities: Product Analytics : provide insights into feature adaption, leading/laggin metric to track product performance. KPI creation and monitoring : work with PMs to build the right set of KPIs and prepare dashboards which enable self-serve RCAs. Conduct impact assessments : conduct impact assessments of new feature/product launches providing actionable insights to the product team. Work with engineering team to ensure right data points are being captured and is available for tracking performance. Advanced Dashboard Development : Build dynamic, highly interactive Power BI dashboards, focusing on advanced visualization techniques such as waterfall charts, financial heatmaps, tree maps, and dynamic slicers for real-time financial data insights. Data Modeling : Design highly efficient, scalable, and normalized data models in Power BI that integrate various financial data sources (SQL Server, Azure, APIs). Implement star and snowflake schema designs to enhance performance in a finance-centric data warehouse. Performance Tuning : Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in Power BI reports and datasets, optimizing data load processes, query folding, and model relationships. Leverage best practices such as incremental data refresh, and parameterized queries to manage millions of rows of financial data. Technical Skills Required: Product Analytics: Knowledge of key product analytics concepts, including user behavior tracking, funnel analysis, retention analysis, and cohort analysis, using tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, or Google Analytics. A/B Testing Methodologies: Proficiency in designing, executing, and analyzing A/B and multivariate tests to measure the impact of changes in product features or user interfaces. Familiarity with statistical concepts such as hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, and p-values. SQL: Strong SQL skills, including experience writing advanced queries, stored procedures, and optimizing data extraction from relational databases like SQL Server and Azure SQL. Power BI Desktop & Service: Expert-level proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, including Power Query, Dataflows, and Workspace management. ETL Processes: Experience with Power Query M for building efficient ETL pipelines to transform raw financial data into structured formats. Knowledge of query folding and performance optimization during the ETL process. Cloud Integration: Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics) to connect, ingest, and process financial data at scale. Power BI REST API: Familiarity with Power BI REST API for automating report deployment, dataset management, and report embedding into custom applications. Version Control & Dev Ops: Experience with Git for version control and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Preferred Financial Expertise: Financial KPIs & Metrics: Expertise in modeling complex financial KPIs such as Return on Investment (ROI), Total Shareholder Return (TSR), Profit Margins, and other advanced financial metrics within Power BI. Time Series Analysis: Experience with time intelligence for forecasting financial trends, managing fiscal calendars, and running historical data comparisons across different financial periods.
