We are Looking for O&M engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience in solar operation & maintenance. Candidate will be responsible for overall monitoring of site. He will have to manage a team of site supervisors & engineers on daily basis. He should have experience in ground mount and large scale MW projects
Qualifications / Experience :-
BE / B.Tech Electrical degree with 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
Should have Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Karnataka State Supervisor License
JOB DESCRIPTION
- A Solar O&M Engineer’s job is mainly to plan, schedule and ensure execution of daily, weekly and monthly activities to ensure smooth operations of a solar power plant.
- The O&M Engineer takes the responsibility of monitoring the performance of the solar power plant on a day-to-day basis and must be available for immediate field trips in case of any fault recover
- Identifies problems and develops corrective action plans Scheduling and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Travel to project sites and vendor locations as assigned to perform all aspects of on-site installation, repair, maintenance, oversight, and modifications as required Perform electric, , mechanical and software component inspections, testing, repair, and troubleshooting, in accordance with its specifications.
- Provide timely written review reports from field operation, status, and constructive feedback as requested.
- Responds to emergency call outs Ensure that all O&M activities performed at project sites, requirements and warranties Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders
- Responsible for all required repairs, maintenance, and monitoring of all warranty claims.
- Prepare performance reports to respective stakeholders;
- Quality assurance and quality checks on ongoing projects to ensure installation is up to Standards Operations Procedures;
- Support testing and commissioning activities for newly installed projects to ensure that the PV system is built to specification and safe for operation;
- Management of additional services such as electrical shutdowns, site visits, etc.;
- Maintain good working relationships with customers' and partners' technical and operational teams in order to provide customer care and ensure long-term customer satisfaction;
- Provide a continuous improvement management by identifying improvements to PV system design, operations, and maintenance approach, as well as materials and tool usage.
- Strong organizational skills, follow-through, attention to details – must be dependable, proactive and prompt;
• Ensure all works are performed in accordance with manufacturer specifications, company standards.
• Perform regular maintenance on installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair any issues with solar PV systems, including electrical (AC & DC) and mechanical component.
• Ensure all works are performed with Safe practices.
• General maintenance of plant including MMS and maintaining shadow free modules.
• Operation and maintenance of MCS.
• Prepare DGR for the plant.
• Prepare RCA, CAPA.
• Benchmarking and analysis of KPI such as Generation, Inverter performance, losses, auxiliary power consumption, PA, PR etc to maximize plant efficiency.
• Ensuring compliance to Preventive Maintenance schedule.
• Planning and management of spares, Man power, Budget.
• Resource allocation and optimum utilization of resource.
• Fault identification and rectification of SCB/SMB/Inverter/Panel/transformer/Meter/cables/MC4/Earthing/DC and AC system.
• Perform string monitoring and completing module cleaning targets.
• Executing any breakdown maintenance.
• Coordinating with OEMs for spares, AMC, warranty and service requests.
Contract Management with Vendor/OEM.
• Monitor plant daily through SCADA/ Portal.
• Conducting monthly JMR.
• Upkeep of SCADA and WMS.
Qualification And Experience:-
Degree/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field.
Experienced in solar preferred with min 3 years exp .
Excellent project management and supervision skills.
Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-starter with a “can do” attitude
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledgeable in applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices will be a plus
