23 Ventures (Tevis) is a technology company that works with early stage companies to help design, and implement the software. We are embedded in client projects as their founding team and are able to work on some of the most exciting projects in variety of domains including health etch, AI etc.


Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong background in DevOps, SecOps, and cloud technologies to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with GitLab (SCM, CI/CD), SAST/DAST, Jenkins, and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure). This role involves a mix of development, security, and operational responsibilities to enhance automation, streamline workflows, and support continuous integration and delivery.


This is a client-facing role that requires strong written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate should be able to effectively convey solutions to the team based in the US.


Key Responsibilities:

DevOps and SecOps:

- Implement and manage DevOps practices, ensuring seamless integration between development, security, and operations teams.

- Incorporate security measures (SecOps) in the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring SAST/DAST tools are integrated for enhanced code security.


GitLab/GitOps Expertise:

- Manage and maintain GitLab environments, including source code management (SCM) and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

- Migrate on-prem GitLab environments to the cloud, ensuring minimal downtime and improved scalability.

- Upgrade GitLab to the latest version and implement new features to optimize performance and security.

- Develop and implement GitOps practices, ensuring version-controlled infrastructure and automated deployments.


Cloud & Hyperscaler Platforms:

- Design and manage deployments on hyperscaler cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, and Azure.

- Help with containerization using Docker and facilitate cloud-native deployments.


Jenkins and SCM/CI/CD Tool Migration:

- Migrate existing SCM and CI/CD pipelines from other tools such as Bitbucket and Jenkins to GitLab, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruptions.

- Build "Golden Pipelines" in GitLab CI following best practices for version control, code quality, security scanning, and deployment automation.


Containerization & Cloud Deployments:

- Assist in containerizing applications using Docker and support cloud deployments using Kubernetes or other orchestration tools.

- Collaborate with development teams to automate, optimize, and scale applications in cloud environments.


Projects You Will Work On:

- Migrating GitLab from on-premises infrastructure to cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).

- Upgrading GitLab to the latest versions to unlock new features and security improvements.

- Transitioning SCM and CI/CD pipelines from other platforms (Bitbucket, Jenkins) to GitLab for a unified workflow.

- Designing and implementing best-practice-driven "Golden Pipelines" in GitLab CI to standardize code quality, security checks, and deployment processes.

- Supporting teams with Docker-based containerization and deploying cloud-native applications.


Required Skills and Experience:

- Proven experience in DevOps and SecOps with a strong focus on automation and security integration.

- Hands-on expertise with GitLab (SCM, CI/CD) and GitOps methodologies.

- Strong knowledge of SAST/DAST tools for code security.

- Experience with major hyperscaler platforms : AWS, GCP, Azure.

- Proficiency with Jenkins , Docker , and cloud-native deployment practices.

- Demonstrated success in migrating SCM/CI/CD pipelines from Bitbucket, Jenkins, or similar tools.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.


Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms.

- Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.

- Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance standards.


Salary Range

6-10L/pa based on experience level.
