About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior PHP Developer to join our engineering team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications while mentoring junior developers and contributing to architectural decisions.Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable PHP applications and RESTful APIs- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following best practices and coding standards- Lead technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members- Mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering their growth and development- Optimize application performance, security, and scalability- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and QA- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments- Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and agile ceremonies- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trendsRequired Qualifications- 5+ years of professional PHP development experience- Strong expertise in modern PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, or similar)- Proficient in object-oriented programming (OOP) and design patterns- Extensive experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL and database optimization- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development- Experience with version control systems (Git)- Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)- Familiarity with testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Pest)- Understanding of web security best practices (OWASP, SQL injection prevention, XSS)- Experience with Linux environments and command-line tools- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills- Excellent communication and teamwork abilitiesPreferred Qualifications- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React, or Angular)- Knowledge of Docker and containerization- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure)- Understanding of microservices architecture- Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Redis)- Knowledge of Elasticsearch or similar search technologies- Contributions to open-source projects- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
