Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Project Manager from Solar and WInd Energy Sector at Sunpower India Ventures Pvt. Ltd. These role requires a Project Manager in the wind and solar energy sector to have strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of renewable energy systems, project management expertise, project execution and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex project requirements.
The role is primarily located in Pune, with flexibility for some remote work.
Qualifications
Candidate needs to be from Solar or Wind Energy
Experience in expediting, project management, and inspection
Knowledge of logistics management
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience in the electrical or infrastructure industry is a plus
Preferred Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
The roles and responsibilities of a Project Manager in the wind and solar energy sector include:
1.     Project Planning and Execution: Developing comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Ensuring projects are executed according to these plans.
2.     Team Leadership: Leading cross-functional teams, assigning tasks, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
3.     Budget Management: Managing project budgets, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring projects stay within financial constraints. Identifying and mitigating cost overruns.
4.     Risk Management: Identifying potential risks to project success and developing strategies to mitigate these risks. Monitoring and managing risks throughout the project lifecycle.
5.     Stakeholder Management: Communicating with stakeholders, including clients, investors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams. Ensuring their requirements and expectations are met.
6.     Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all project activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and environmental guidelines specific to the renewable energy sector.
7.     Site Assessment and Selection: Overseeing site assessments, including evaluating potential locations for wind and solar projects, considering factors such as environmental impact, resource availability, and regulatory requirements.
8.     Procurement and Contract Management: Managing procurement processes, negotiating contracts with suppliers and contractors, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
9.     Construction Management: Overseeing the construction phase of projects, ensuring quality control, safety standards, and adherence to project timelines.
10. Permitting and Approvals: Coordinating with regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals for project development and operation.
11. Performance Monitoring: Monitoring project progress, performance, and quality metrics. Implementing corrective actions as needed to ensure project success.
12. Reporting and Documentation: Preparing regular reports on project status, including progress, financial performance, and risk management. Ensuring all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
13. Commissioning and Handover: Managing the commissioning process, including testing and verification of systems. Ensuring a smooth handover to operations teams.
14. Technology Integration: Staying updated on advancements in wind and solar technologies. Integrating innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and performance.
15. Environmental and Social Impact Management: Assessing and mitigating the environmental and social impacts of projects. Ensuring compliance with sustainability goals and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
16. Health and Safety Management: Ensuring that all project activities adhere to health and safety regulations. Implementing safety protocols to protect workers and the environment.
17. Client and Investor Relations: Maintaining positive relationships with clients and investors. Providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or queries they may have.
18. Post-Project Evaluation: Conducting post-project evaluations to assess outcomes, identify lessons learned, and implement improvements for future projects.
