Sr Account Executive

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sr Account Executive - Platform Sales with 3-9 years of relevant experience to join our team at Kong.ai. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving sales initiatives and growing our platform presence in the market. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and drive revenue growth. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and representing our platform's capabilities effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and increase market share for Kong.ai's platform solutions.
- Identify and engage potential customers through cold calling, networking, and leveraging existing relationships to generate leads.
- Conduct comprehensive product demonstrations and presentations to clients, showcasing the value and capabilities of our platform.
- Navigate complex sales cycles, negotiating terms and closing deals with a focus on solution-based selling.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to inform product development based on client feedback and market trends.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activity and forecasts using CRM systems.
- Build and strengthen relationships with clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upsell and cross-sell.
- Participate in industry events and conferences to promote our platform and network with potential clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3-9 years of experience in technology sales, specifically within platform sales or SaaS environments.
- Documented success in meeting and exceeding sales targets and building strong customer relationships.
- Strong understanding of sales methodologies and techniques, including solution selling.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) for managing sales pipelines.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with an ability to articulate complex ideas in simple terms.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Qualities:
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, API management, or microservices would be a significant asset.
- A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to tackle challenges head-on.
- Passion for technology and a desire to continuously learn and grow within the industry.
- Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
