Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Merchandiser or Senior Merchandiser to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in garment manufacturing and textiles, managing end-to-end merchandising processes for international brands.
You will act as the bridge between our production teams and clients, ensuring timely deliveries, high-quality standards, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Client Communication : Manage and communicate effectively with international clients, ensuring alignment with their expectations on style, quality, and delivery schedules.
Product Development : Coordinate the development of samples according to client specifications, ensuring that the design, fabric, and quality meet client expectations.
Order Management : Manage order placements, ensure timely procurement of raw materials, and coordinate with the production department to meet deadlines.
Costing and Negotiation : Prepare cost sheets for products and negotiate prices with buyers to ensure profitable yet competitive pricing.
Production Coordination : Work closely with production teams to ensure that production runs smoothly and is completed within the agreed time frames without compromising quality.
Quality Assurance : Ensure that quality standards are met at every production stage, from sample development to bulk production, in line with client expectations.
Logistics and Shipping : Coordinate with logistics teams to manage the shipment of goods, ensuring adherence to delivery timelines.
Vendor Management : Collaborate with various vendors to ensure that fabrics, trims, and accessories are sourced and delivered on time.
Market Research : Stay updated with the latest trends in fashion and textiles to propose new designs, styles, and materials to clients.
Qualifications Education : Bachelor's/Master's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Garment manufacturing, or related field from NIFT, Pearl Academy, or other reputed institutes.
Experience : 3–5 years (for Merchandiser role) or 5+ years (for Senior Merchandiser role) in a similar position within the garment manufacturing/export industry.
Proven experience managing international clients and large-scale orders in a fast-paced environment.
Skills : Strong knowledge of fabric, garment construction, and the manufacturing process.
Proficient in cost analysis, production timelines, and quality control standards.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software like ERP systems (e.g., Visual GEMS).
Personal Attributes : A proactive, detail-oriented team player with strong problem-solving skills and multitasking ability.
