Required InformationDetailsRole: Akamai WAF engineerRequired Technical Skill Set: Akamai products ( CDN, WAF, DNS )No of Requirements: 1Desired Experience Range: 7 to 10 YearsLocation of Requirement : Chennai / BangaloreResponsibilities:Installation & Configuration:- Deploy and configure Akamai products (e.g., CDN, WAF, DNS, etc.) according to customer requirements and best practices.- Integrate Akamai services with customer infrastructure, including web servers, load balancers, and DNS systems.- Perform testing and validation to ensure proper functionality and performance.- Document installation procedures and configurations.Support & Troubleshooting:- Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and ticketing systems.- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Akamai services.- Proactively monitor Akamai performance and identify potential problems.- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or product teams as needed.- Maintain accurate records of support interactions and troubleshooting steps.Customer Communication:- Communicate effectively with customers, providing timely updates and clear explanations of technical issues.- Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams.- Provide training and guidance to customers on Akamai products and services.Collaboration & Improvement:- Collaborate with other engineers and teams to share knowledge and improve processes.- Contribute to the development of knowledge base articles and documentation.- Stay up to date on the latest Akamai products and features.Qualifications:- Experience: (7+ years) in technical support, system administration, or network engineering. Experience with Akamai products is a significant advantage.- Technical Skills:- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.).- Experience with web servers (Apache, Nginx, IIS) and load balancers.- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.Soft Skills:- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Customer-focused and results-oriented.
