Key Skills & Responsibilities
1. Vault (HashiCorp) Expertise:
Secret Management: Proficiency in HashiCorp Vault for secure storage of certificates, keys, and other secrets.
Setup & Deployment: Deep understanding of deploying and customizing Vault to meet client-specific requirements.
API Usage: Strong grasp of Vault APIs for managing secrets programmatically.
Customizations: Experience with configuring and customizing Vault for enterprise customers like CBA (Commonwealth Bank of Australia).
2. AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service):
In-depth Knowledge: Expertise in AWS EKS, including container orchestration, scaling, and workload management.
Artifactory & Build Pipelines: Experience integrating with tools like Artifactory for build and artifact management.
Containerization: Strong skills in Docker and Kubernetes, focusing on deploying and managing containerized applications.
3. Programming Skills:
Python (Mandatory):
Primary language for API integration, automation, and scripting tasks.
Used to interact with Vault, EKS, and REST APIs.
C/C++ (Customizations):
Ability to make customizations and handle advanced configurations in Vault.
Likely needed for building plugins, modules, or fine-tuned integrations.
4. REST API:
API Design and Consumption: Familiarity with RESTful APIs, particularly for integrating Vault and EKS into broader infrastructure workflows.
5. Problem Solving & Troubleshooting:
Analytical Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues within the Vault setup, EKS cluster, or custom deployments.
Debugging: Strong debugging skills for resolving runtime errors in containerized and distributed environments.
6. DevOps Practices:
CI/CD Pipelines: Knowledge of building CI/CD pipelines to support deployment and management of containerized applications.
Infrastructure as Code: Experience with tools like Terraform, which is commonly used alongside HashiCorp Vault and AWS.
Desired Experience:
5+ Years in Cloud & DevOps Roles: Must have practical, hands-on experience with Vault, Kubernetes (preferably EKS), and containerization.
Customizing Enterprise Products: Demonstrated ability to tailor vendor solutions (e.g., HashiCorp Vault) to meet specific customer needs.
