JOB SCOPEThe ideal candidate for this role is a proven sales performer adept in direct-toconsumer consultative sales who excels at working with high ticket sizeproducts.As an upGrad Admission Counsellor (AC), you will help prospective learnersfind the right educational course to upskill themselves and progress in theircareers. You will guide them through the decision-making process andpersuade them to enroll in upGrad programs.RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIESAct as a mentor and guide for potential learners, offering career adviceand insights into how upGrad can accelerate their professional journey.Provide personalized career counseling to potential learners, assistingthem in charting their career trajectory and demonstrating how upGradcan facilitate their goals.Meet weekly enrollment, revenue, and collection targets to contribute tothe overall success of the organization.Establish the unique value and effectiveness of upGrad's online/blendedlearning model to potential learners.Manage the complete sales lifecycle for assigned leads, includinginitiating contact, conducting product demonstrations, closing sales, andnurturing post-sales relationships.Maintain a comprehensive database of lead interactions within the CRMsystem, offering continual feedback to the marketing team to enhancelead quality.BASIC ELIGIBILITY CRITERIAMinimum of 2 to 5 years of B2C sales experience, with at least 1 yearspent in a single company.Prior experience in selling education products (Preferred).*Minimum graduation or above, with qualifications from relevantbackgrounds preferred:Previous experience working a 6-day work week.Currently working in the capacity of an individual contributor.Proven track record of meeting targets in the existing company.*Note: Graduation is a requirement for the role, but exceptions may be made for candidates unable to completetheir degree due to specific circumstances, provided they meet all other required criteria.SKILLSExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including stronginterpersonal and presentation abilities.Ability to listen effectively, build trust with potential learners, andapproach situations with patience and empathy.Ability to persuade learners towards enrolling in courses while ethicallyinfluencing their decisions.
