As a Patent Expert at ORO Labs, you will play a key role in developing and managing the company’s intellectual property (IP) strategy. This role requires deep expertise in patent law, exceptional analytical and writing skills, and a proactive mindset to stay ahead of emerging technologies in AI, SaaS, and enterprise software. Evaluate R&D outputs and perform IP landscape analyses to uncover patentable opportunities and potential risks. Maintain a structured IP portfolio, ensuring compliance, renewals, and timely filings across jurisdictions. Advise leadership on IP strategy, risk mitigation, and portfolio optimization to support business growth and partnerships. We’re seeking a seasoned patent professional who combines deep legal knowledge with technical curiosity. You’re someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, innovation, and law—able to translate complex technical ideas into strong intellectual property assets. You’ll play a crucial role in helping ORO protect its innovations and maintain a competitive edge in the enterprise SaaS and AI domain. Experience: 8+ years of experience in patent law, IP strategy, or patent management within a technology or SaaS company. Technical Background: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Proven experience drafting and prosecuting patents globally (US, EU, APAC). Legal Credentials: Registered Patent Agent/Attorney (USPTO or equivalent) preferred. Analytical Skills: Deep understanding of patent landscapes, prior art searches, and competitive analysis. Communication: Exceptional ability to articulate technical concepts to both legal and non-legal audiences. Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, product, and executive teams.
