Job Description –Public Policy & Regulatory Strategy Team Job Title - Senior Manager Location - Gurugram WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? Regulatory Managers at Airtel are curious, problem-solvers and self-starters, working at a fast pace to design solutions with our customers and users in mind.

At Airtel, the Regulatory team is responsible for development and execution of policy initiatives and strategies, working closely with business and industry stakeholders for the betterment of its customers and business, and monitoring and interpreting legislative and regulatory developments that impact the organization's objectives.

An eligible candidate for this role is expected to be a lateral thinker interested in helping businesses and policy makers find a common ground.

This role requires critical thinking & problem solving and a successful candidate will be working extensively with different teams and external stakeholders driving our organization's strategic goals and ensuring alignment with public policy initiatives.

There is immense potential for learning and creating tangible impact.

This position requires a strong understanding of government policies, excellent research and analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

As a member of Airtel’s Policy & Regulatory Strategy team, you will maintain and develop relationships with policymakers and regulators to advance Airtel’s policy objectives.

You will also have to develop relationships with trade associations, think tanks, civil society organizations to manage important policy developments for Airtel.

You will also help advise our internal teams on the regulatory implications of products, while working with a cross-functional team.

RESPONSIBILITIES § Assist in developing positions on regulations affecting the full range of policy areas that impact Airtel, focusing on digital space, data privacy, financial services, digital distribution, and digital entertainment.

§ Assisting in identifying, tracking and advising on legislative and other policy trends and developing strategies and policy language to further Airtel’s interests.

§ Assist in creating actionable strategies required for regulatory-business partnering for larger business objectives of the Company.

§ Collaborating with the business, legal, compliance, marketing and communications teams on market specific policy and business initiatives.

§ Working with the business team to identify avenues for business development through policy initiatives.

Candidates must demonstrate an interest in and understanding of business basics.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Master’s level degree in Law/Economics/ political science/public policy/ business/ international affairs or similar field • 2 to 3 years’ experience of working with government, think tanks, public interest groups, or the field of corporate public policy.

• Ability to review and evaluate legislation and technical policy documents.

• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills.

• Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment.

• Understanding of technology, data privacy frameworks, and laws that impact any digital business in any industry.

• Ability to work independently as well as a team player in a multi-task and multi-location work environment.

• Effective prioritization framework to focus on the right problems to focus on.
