(As a Customer Engineer at Lepton Software, you will act as the primary technical trusted advisor for our diverse portfolio of Google Maps customers. Unlike a pre-sales role, your focus is on the "how" and the "now" helping customers realize the full potential of their investment. You will guide clients through complex implementations, optimize their current usage, and drive the adoption of cutting-edge location intelligence features. You will be the bridge between our customer's engineering teams and the business value delivered by Google Maps. (Implementation & Onboarding Architecture Guidance: Advise customer engineering teams on the optimal architecture for integrating Google Maps APIs (Places, Routes, Maps JS) into their web and mobile applications to ensure scalability and performance. Provide code samples, snippets, and review client code to ensure seamless initial deployment. Perform deep-dive root cause analysis (RCA) when customers face issues in their production environments. o Performance Tuning: proactively analyze customer implementations to identify latency issues, unnecessary API calls, or rendering bottlenecks. New Product Evangelism: Actively introduce customers to new Google Maps features and releases (e.g., Photorealistic 3D Tiles, Aerial View, Address Validation, Environment APIs) and demonstrate how these can solve specific business problems. Feedback Loop: Act as the voice of the customer, gathering product feedback and feature requests to share with Lepton’s internal product teams and Google’s engineering channels.
