Key Responsibilities 1) Support the implementation of Ethics Compliance initiatives across the organization, which may include development and review policies and codes, projects. 2) Policy development and rollout : Draft, benchmark and rollout ethics & compliance related policies. Developing training material and conduct policy awareness training for employees. 3) Statutory Compliance Management : Management of Statutory Compliance Management Tool / system. Identifying and mapping all applicable laws to business stakeholders on Compliance tool. Providing periodic Xreports to cross functional teams on pending statutory compliance requirements, and thereby follow up and ensure timely completion of task by stakeholders. Conduct regular checks such as compliance checks/ audit, discuss the findings and decide on the process improvements. Monitor the process improvements to ensure that proper process controls are implemented. Keep abreast of regulatory developments and evolving best practices in compliance control. 4) Sanctions advisory and checks: Monitor global sanctions lists. Investigate potential sanctions matches. Conduct checks- Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), ABAC, Adverse media Ensure checks - OFAC, EU, UK, SDN, Singapore and Hong Kong Perform due diligence and risk assessments. Guide and train teams on sanctions compliance. Update sanctions policies 5) Support training initiatives as well as Third party Due Diligence Process. 6) Remain up to date on central and state laws related to the organization, business practices and the projects launched/ in process and update policies accordingly. 7) Collaborate with other corporate departments with compliance responsibilities such as Internal Audit team, Company Secretary’s office, Government Affairs, Finance, business divisions, etc., to support on various compliance programmes. Skills, knowledge and competencies : Proven experience as compliance professional. Good communication skills, both oral and written, including effective negotiation skills Interpersonal & Coordination skills In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations. Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations Background & experience required Graduate in Law (LL. B) PQE of 2-4 years in Ethics & Compliance in a leading Pharma / FMCG / Manufacturing / Consulting Company. Certified compliance professional is a plus. Strong influencing capability & adaptability to work with multiple stakeholders. Must have experience of working collaboratively with cross functions.
