Job Description:
A verification and validation engineer at client is responsible for ensuring that medical devices and equipment meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance. The job description may include the following responsibilities:
Roles and Responsibilities:
Leads the design, development, and test strategy (planning and execution) to execute Test Automation Framework.
Assist with the development of system requirements and specifications to ensure requirements are testable and met the product quality.
Provide solutions to various problems and guide the test engineers to perform verification.
Manage complete Software Testing Life Cycle requirement analysis, setting- up of test environment, creation of test frameworks, test execution, defect tracking, and test schedule.
Develop and execute testing plans for new and existing medical devices and equipment in accordance with regulatory and industry standards, such as FDA.
Design and execute validation protocols for software, hardware, and system- level components of medical devices.
Analyze and interpret test results to ensure compliance with specifications and requirements and identify and troubleshoot any issues.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, regulatory affairs, clinical affairs, and quality assurance to ensure product quality.
Participate in risk management activities, including hazard analysis and risk assessments, to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with medical devices.
Develop and maintain documentation related to verification and validation activities, including test plans, protocols, and reports.
Participate in product design reviews and provide input on testing and validation requirements.
Maintain knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to medical device verification and validation.
Provide guidance and support to other team members on testing and validation activities.
Plan and Participate in Software reliability testing, Performance testing, Chaos testing.
SDLC and Testing Methodologies (Types of testing, testing plan, creating test cases, executing test cases)
Handling Defect Management
Publishing test reports, defect summary report, performing defect analysis, driving defects to closure.
Communicate effectively and impactfully in a cross-functional, multi cultural, global environment.
Managing traceability from requirements to verification techniques.
Strategizing and executing end-to-end platform automation.
Desired Profile
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
A strong background in engineering or a related field, as well as experience in the medical device industry
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards related to medical device verification and validation
Strong hands on experience with testing and validation methodologies and tools
Strong knowledge in Automated Testing
Knowledge on Continuous Integration Tools
Hands on experience HP ALM application added advantage.
Hands on Automation Testing Tools & Testing Framework (ex : selenium, test complete, jbehave bdd)
Bug Tracking Tools
Mandatory skills- Good Knowledge on programming skills (Ex : java, scripting - perl, python, shell)
Exposure on Kubernetes Deployment & Testing.
Hands on TDD/BDD
Knowledge on REST
Hands on Unit Testing, Component Testing, System Integration Testing, API Testing, Performance Testing (Jmeter).
Basic Knowledge on Security/Penetration testing.
Exposure to Cloud Computing/Cloud Native is added advantage.
Knowledge on Linux Commands, Operating System, Docker, Container, Virtualization, Kubernetes.
Basic knowledge on Database SQL/NoSQL. DB testing.
Exposure to DevOps techniques and configuration preferred
Experience with team management activities and defect management.
Experience leading project team.
Self-starter, results oriented and able to do multi-task.
Exposure to IaaS/PaaS/SaaS automation pipelines, good understanding on CI/CD/CT implementing GitOps.
