Summary

Cognitio Analytics is seeking a highly experienced and driven leader to join our fast-growing led healthcare-based product. This is a senior leadership position that requires strong technical expertise, excellent managerial skills and will be responsible for overseeing and managing the technical aspects of our organization, ensuring efficient operations, and driving innovation. You will play a critical role in shaping the technical strategy, managing a team of skilled professionals, and driving the successful delivery of projects.

Core Skills

1. Technical Strategy and Leadership:

• Develop and implement the technical strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives.
• Lead and inspire a team of technical professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Manage the technology stack and infrastructure, making informed decisions about the adoption of new technologies to support product development and scalability.
• Design highly scalable, highly available Distributed system using Microservices or latest software architecture aligned with business requirements.
• Define strategic API endpoints, request/response structures, data models for optimal interactions.
• Hands-on experience with any project management & collaboration tool such as Azure DevOps / Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.
• Deep understanding of IT architecture, infrastructure, and cloud development principles including Azure Bus, Azure Data Factory, Active Directory, Ingress Nginx for Kubernetes. 
• Experience with distributed systems, algorithms, and relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL). 
• Hands-on experience with version control (Git/Bitbucket), CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure pipelines) and release management. 
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and application deployment (Helm) in Azure environments.
• Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). 
• Experience with large data sets and big data tools, enhancing our ability to manage and analyze data at scale. 
• Extensive experience with any Unit Testing Framework (Jest is preferred, Jasmine, Mocha).
• In-depth understanding of RESTful API principles and best practices.
• Experience of disaster recovery and backup technologies, methodologies, and best practices.

2. Performance Optimization and Scalability:

• Lead efforts to optimize System performance for speed and scalability.

• Implement advanced caching, throttling, and load balancing strategies to handle high request volumes efficiently.

3. Error Handling and Logging capability:

• Implement comprehensive error handling and logging mechanisms to provide actionable feedback and facilitate troubleshooting.

4. Documentation Excellence:

• Extensive experience with API documentation tools (e.g., Swagger, Postman), database schemas.

• Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and aligns with architectural decisions.

5. Testing and Quality Assurance Leadership:

• Lead the development and execution of robust test cases to ensure API functionality, reliability, and security.
• Drive the implementation of unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end testing protocols.
• Oversee the implementation of quality assurance processes.
• Ensure that products meet or exceed quality standards.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.

6. Monitoring and Proactive Maintenance:

•  Take a proactive role in monitoring API usage, performance, and stability.

•  Identify and address issues promptly to maintain a high level of service availability.

•  Working experience of monitoring tools like Azure Monitor/Cloud Watch/Dotcom Monitor etc.

7. Security and Authentication Expertise:

• Oversee the implementation of robust security measures, including advanced authentication, authorization, encryption mechanisms & storage solutions.

• Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of data exchanged through various tools & libraries required in the application.

• Well versed in security design and principles to ensure zero vulnerability, 100% secure system design.

8. Project Management and Execution:

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects within defined timelines and budgets.

• Ensure effective resource allocation, risk management, and issue resolution to achieve project objectives.

• Monitor project progress and adjust tasks in the team as per priority.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting best practices and efficient processes.

9. Team Management and Development:

• Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of technical professionals.

• Set performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging growth and professional development.

• Promote knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration among team members.

10. Technical Expertise and Compliance:

•   Provide expert guidance on technical matters, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.

• Stay updated on regulatory requirements, industry guidelines, and quality standards relevant to pharmaceutical operations.

• Identify and implement appropriate technological solutions to enhance operational efficiency and quality.

11. Stakeholder Management:

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (executive leadership, operations, research and development, etc.) to align technical initiatives with overall business objectives.

• Build and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and regulatory bodies as required.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns in a timely manner.

12. Risk Management:

• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Implement strategies to handle unforeseen challenges.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. 

Qualifications

● Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or similar. Master's degree is preferred.

●Min 10 Years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years of proven experience in software architecture, design patterns, leadership in technology role.

● Experience with Node JS, React JS, MongoDB, Microservices, Event-Driven architecture, Azure Cloud.

● Prior experience with Python, Hapi.js, Power BI, Data Bricks, and data warehousing concepts is preferred.

● Strong expertise in software development, architecture, and engineering.

●Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to envision and articulate technology solutions that drive business growth.

● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

● Experience with project management and agile development methodologies.

● Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment is highly desirable.

● Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in the health care industry is a plus.
