Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Industrial Design Engineer to lead the product development process in the areas of facility automation, Lighting Fixtures, washroom solutions, and furniture design. The ideal candidate is an innovative thinker with a strong engineering background, deep product benchmarking expertise, and exceptional sourcing and negotiation skills. This role demands resourcefulness, creativity, and an ability to manage end-to-end product development processes while ensuring the highest standards of design and functionality.

Experience : 5+ Years in Industrial design
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Research & Benchmarking:
• Conduct in-depth benchmarking studies to analyze competitor products and identify areas of improvement and innovation.
• Evaluate global and local trends in facility automation, washroom solutions, and furniture design to inspire new product concepts.
2. Product Development:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop products that align with market needs and company goals.
• Oversee prototyping and testing phases to refine designs and ensure optimal performance and usability.
• Identify materials, components, and technologies to enhance product quality and cost efficiency.
3. Sourcing & Vendor Management:
• Source and evaluate suppliers and vendors for materials and components, ensuring quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
4. Design & Innovation:
• Apply principles of industrial design to create products that are aesthetically appealing, functional, and aligned with brand identity.
• Explore sustainable design options and materials to create environmentally friendly solutions.
5. Project Management:
• Manage timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time delivery of projects.
• Work closely with manufacturing partners to translate design concepts into production-ready products.
6. Market & User Insights:
• Gather customer feedback and conduct market research to inform product iterations and enhancements.
• Stay updated on industry advancements to integrate cutting-edge technologies into product designs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years in industrial design or product development roles, with a portfolio showcasing successful projects.
• Strong analytical skills with expertise in product benchmarking and competitor analysis.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Deep understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and supply chain management.
• Demonstrated ability in vendor sourcing and contract negotiation.
• Resourceful and adaptable with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Passion for innovation and design in facility automation, washrooms, and furniture.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with sustainable and eco-friendly design principles.
• Knowledge of IoT and smart technology integration in facility automation.
• Familiarity with ergonomic and user-centric furniture design.
