Role Description

As a Financial and Business Planner, you will play a critical role in developing and executing strategic financial plans to drive the success and growth of the organization. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of financial analysis, forecasting, and business planning activities aimed at optimizing financial performance and mitigating risks. You will collaborate closely with various departments and senior management to ensure alignment between financial objectives and overall business goals. As a Business and Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our omni-channel business.

Responsibilities

Business planning & strategy provides vision, leadership, and direction in the planning and implementation of organizational goals and priorities, effective processes, and technology that support retail operations and contribute to improved operational excellence and business development.

  • 5+ years of Business Math and Planning experience
  • Pre-season business planning- Leads store plans and KPIs for the full business across channels
  • Strategic Lead- Supports strategic planning, projects, and special initiatives, prepares test cases, analyzes business trends, and coordinates product needs between planners and allocators to achieve sales and profitability objectives
  • Store Planning- Create WEAs and proformas to evaluate future location opportunities
  • To support the channel function head in managing all commercial/business planning, controlling and reporting activities within the channel, and support all other strategy and commercial-related activities as necessary
  • Lead key planning processes, including but not limited to annual business plans, budgets, forecasts and long-term plan
  • Lead the strategic planning exercises (budget, forecast, LTP...) to ensure maximum return and efficiency of the resources in the region
  • Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials
  • Focusing the organization on delivering business value, process transparency, and leadership
  • Coordinates/supports development of Strategy Reviews of Global Data, Insight & Analytics (MIS & Presentation) strategy and plan
  • Analyze current and past financial data and performance to make recommendations on profit enhancement
  • Consistently analyze financial information based on both routine and ad-hoc reports.
  • Interpret financial data to recognize changing trends, patterns, and their meaning related to key performance indicators
  • Communicate financial insights suggesting business issues to management
  • Manage end-to-end accounting operations for our e-commerce business, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Perform regular reconciliation of financial data, including bank statements, sales transactions, and payment gateways.
  • Must handle business planning from a finance perspective, and maintain investors' MIS and presentation.
  • Must have exposure to the FMCG sector.
  • Monitor and analyze the e-commerce business's P&L performance, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations to management.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process and address any audit-related queries.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of e-commerce industry trends and accounting standards to ensure compliance.
  • Provide support and guidance to the finance team on e-commerce accounting processes and best practices.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws, GST regulations, and other relevant financial regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, business planning, and strategic decision support roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear and actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and accounting principles (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting, with a focus on accounting. with Omni and FMCG sectors.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Must have skill of business strategy, business forecasting, business & Financial Planning, strategic management
  • Expertise in the FMCG sector.
