Your Opportuni ty We are looking for a Lead Performance Engineer with a proven record of performance automation, performance testing and engineering to deliver high performance, scalable and stable enterprise class software. In this role, you will be responsible for creating performance automation scripts, executing, monitoring and analyzing performance bottleneck of product. You will work in a fast-paced environment delivering product and feature increments in short iterations. Your technical skills will be very critical to deliver product functionalities across release s . Our Ideal Candida te We want you to be a strong technical member with performance engineering skills. Your Responsibiliti es The performance engineer works closely with just about every team at Informatica to ensure our applications perform well under load and stable. That means writing and executing JMeter scripts for performance use cases, monitoring performance of application, servers and processes involved, conducting performance analysis, identifying performance bottleneck and working with the right people to resolve the issues. The performance engineer will identify and collect the necessary metrics to ensure the performance, stability and scalability of Informatica's products. The performance engineer will also have to ensure the client-side performance is up to par in a variety of supported browsers so they should have a good understanding of technologies like Java Script and Ajax, and be able to identify slow page element s. The performance testing engineer will also get pulled into escalated production performance issues. That means they will need to be able to perform under pressure, manage multiple concurrent tasks, and present information clearly and concisely to upper manageme nt. Required Ski lls: Experie nce:- Design and develop performance test plans, test cases based upon requirements and Customer use c ases- Create and execute JMeter scripts for performance use c ases- Experience with performance monitoring tools and understanding performance met rics- Experience in performance analysis at different layer such as Database tuning, JAVA Tuning and UI tu ning- Conduct performance analysis and report findings to product teams and senior managem ent.- Deep understanding of JVM architecture, parameters and tun ing.- Understanding of RDBMS concepts and working experience in any RDBMS databases such as Oracle, DB2, and MS SQL.- Work closely with the development teams to analyze the performance issues, debug and resolve any is sues- Collaborate effectively with peer engineers and architects to solve complex problems spanning their respective areas to deliver end-to-end performance quality in our technology and customer experi ence- Understand business use cases, internal/external performance Benchmarks, debugging performance issues, designing automation framework, decision making on issues, technical assistance in performance analysis and tuning DB/OS etc.- Influences development managers to insure appropriate levels of Performance quality on owned technolog ies.- A deep understanding of performance testing methodologies, like Performance Testing Guidelines for Web and JAVA Applicati ons.- Good to have AWS, Kubernetes, Dockers experi ence- Influences and communicates effectively with non-technical audiences including senior product and business manage ment Your Qualific ations- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical degree- 3 to 6 years of experience in performance testing and engineering for high data volume management pr oducts- Minimum 5+ years working experience in creating and executing performance automation scripts using JMeter- Proven experience in identifying performance bottlenecks and measuring performance of enterprise applications and s ervers- Experience with performance monitoring tools, commands and deep understanding performance m etrics- Experience with Java Application Performance analysis and tuning in the context of J2 EE style server or middleware applic ations- Experience in performance test data creation methodologies and tools- Experience in performance analysis and tuning of anyone database such as Oracle, DB2, and MS SQL- Must have expertise in application profiling tools Yourkit, JProfiler, Jprobe or any other java pr ofiler- Knowledge of Perl or Shell scripting to analyze logs quickly and isolate the performance issue- Experience with Hadoop application Performance testing and tuning for scalable very large enterprise application i s plus- Strong working knowledge in Linux/Unix/Windows Operating system and tuning operating system para meters- In-depth understanding of large complex software systems to isolate defects, reproduce defects, assess risk and understand varied customer deplo yments- Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills- Clarity and precision in verbal and written communi cation- Ability to work with customers, developers, documentation, product management, support staff- Familiarity with software development life cycles and agile programming methodo logies- Self-interested to develop in depth knowledge on technologies and tools used in performance testing and engin eering- Ability to come forward with new ideas to continuously improve efficiency of the performance engineering process as technology evolves and showcase to top manag ement.- Ability to learn new skills quickly as needed Internal Descri ption:
