Job Overview: The Lightroom & Photo Editor will be responsible for editing, retouching, and enhancing event photographs, primarily using Adobe Lightroom, and Adobe Photoshop. You will work closely with the photography team to ensure that all images are polished, cohesive, and reflect both the event’s atmosphere and the client’s vision. Your role will involve managing large volumes of photos while maintaining high-quality standards and efficient workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Photo Editing & Enhancement
Adobe Lightroom Editing: Use Adobe Lightroom to perform color correction, exposure adjustments, contrast enhancement, and other technical corrections to enhance raw images.
Retouching: Retouch images for optimal clarity, removing distractions, correcting skin tones, and performing any necessary touch-ups using Lightroom and Photoshop (when required).
Batch Processing: Efficiently apply edits across large batches of images to maintain consistency while reducing manual editing time.
Cohensive Editing Style:
Maintain Consistency: Ensure all edited photos align with the company’s visual style guide, offering a consistent look and feel across different events and photo sets.
Creative Input: Bring a creative flair to the editing process, experimenting with styles and techniques that enhance the final images while staying true to client preferences.
Collaboration & Client Focus:
Client Feedback: Work with photographers and project managers to incorporate client feedback and revisions, ensuring satisfaction with the final product.
Event-Specific Editing: Tailor editing styles and techniques to suit different types of events (e.g., weddings, corporate events, parties, etc.), making adjustments based on the nature of the event and the desired outcome.
File Management and Workflow:
Efficient Workflow: Organize and manage large volumes of photos, ensuring smooth transitions from raw to edited images, and maintaining proper file structure and naming conventions.
Export & Delivery: Export edited images in various formats (web, social media, print) while ensuring high quality and correct sizing for specific use cases.
Backup & Archive: Ensure all edited images are properly backed up and stored for future use or retrieval.
Photo Selection & Pre-Editing:
Photo Selection: Assist in reviewing and selecting the best images from a shoot before starting the editing process.
Required Qualification:
Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom: Advanced skills in Adobe Lightroom for photo editing, including knowledge of catalogs, presets, and batch processing.
Experience with Photoshop: Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for retouching and advanced editing tasks.
Photo Editing Expertise: Solid understanding of color correction, exposure adjustments, sharpening, and basic retouching techniques.
Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail, ensuring every image is polished, professional, and consistent.
High Productivity: Ability to work on high-volume projects and meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality.
