About the Role We are hiring a QA Automation Lead for a global, product-based software company building enterprise-grade applications. This role offers an opportunity to own the automation strategy , work closely with Engineering and Product teams, and lead a small team of QA engineers. This is a hands-on leadership role , ideal for someone who enjoys designing robust automation frameworks, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and continuously improving quality through modern tools including AI-driven testing approaches . What You’ll Do Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automation test frameworks with a focus on scalability and reliability Own regression, sanity, and CI/CD-based test execution across releases Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to understand features, risks, and quality goals Mentor junior QA engineers through planning, execution, reviews, and feedback Perform automation code reviews and enforce strong SDET best practices Execute POCs and MVPs for new automation frameworks, tools, and AI-based QA solutions Track defects, analyze automation results, and report product quality trends Manage test data, environments, and dependencies to ensure stable pipelines Tech Stack & Tools Automation: Playwright (mandatory), Cypress, RESTAssured Languages: Java, TypeScript / JavaScript Testing: API testing (Postman), performance/load testing (JMeter, Artillery), accessibility testing CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Drone Test Management: Jira, Azure DevOps, XRay, Qase or similar Infra & Platforms: Docker, cloud-based test environments Exposure to AI tools in QA automation is a strong plus What We’re Looking For 8+ years of experience in QA Automation / SDET roles Strong hands-on expertise with Playwright (non-negotiable) Solid programming skills in Java and JavaScript / TypeScript Experience building and maintaining large automation test suites Strong understanding of QA methodologies, Agile/Kanban workflows, and CI/CD pipelines Experience testing REST APIs and data-driven systems Proven ability to mentor and lead junior QA engineers Proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and eagerness to learn new tools Excellent communication and collaboration skills Nice to Have Experience in data integration, ETL, or data services Prior experience running automation or AI-related POCs Why This Role High ownership and technical depth Opportunity to influence quality strategy at scale Exposure to modern automation and AI-driven QA practices Work on complex, real-world enterprise systems How to Apply: Email your resume to with a note on why you're a good fit.
