Job Summary: The Database Management L2 Support role provides advanced troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance for SQL database. This role involves handling escalated issues, ensuring database performance, and supporting critical incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues, such as performance bottlenecks, query optimization, and connectivity problems.
Perform database administration tasks, including backup and restore management, replication, patching, and security updates.
Configure and maintain user roles, permissions, and database security settings.
Monitor and analyze database performance metrics to identify and resolve performance issues, escalating to L3 as needed.
Document procedures, solutions, and best practices, contributing to a knowledge base for the team.
Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure database stability, scalability, and high availability.
Assist with disaster recovery planning and execution, as well as with database migration activities.
Required Experience: 3-5 Years of Experience in Database administration
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of SQL database administration and troubleshooting.
Experience with database performance monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Oracle Enterprise Manager).
Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries, as well as configuring and troubleshooting database backups.
Working knowledge of scripting (e.g., SQL, Shell) for database automation tasks.
Strong English communication skills for documentation and cross-team collaboration.
