The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and leading the full design process from ideation to production. You will draw new designs and update our current designs. During the creation process, you will ensure that our designs meeting all necessary design responsibilities.

Electrical Design Engineer Responsibilities

  • Proficient in PVSyst for system simulations, shading analysis, and energy performance evaluations.
  • Develop and modify designs using AutoCAD for inverter placements, earthing, cable diagrams, ACDB location, and CEIG-compliant layouts.
  • Create string designs and single-line diagrams (SLD) ensuring accurate load distribution and compliance with electrical standards.
  • Prepare Electrical BOM (Bill of Materials) during site visits for both rooftop and ground mounted projects.
  • Manage DISCOM-related documentation, including applications via GEDA and IFP portals.
  • Raise Purchase Requisitions (PR) and manage Purchase Orders (PO) to ensure timely procurement for solar projects.
  • Conduct AC cable sizing and perform necessary calculations to ensure system safety and efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including layouts, performance evaluations, and compliance reports.
  • Coordinate and prepare for CEIG inspections, handling submission of work completion reports, test certificates, and system drawings.
  • Submit CEIG final reports post-inspection, ensuring all requirements for system commissioning are met.
  • Handle Net Meter applications for new installations, coordinating with regulatory authorities for approvals.
  • Support ISO audit processes, ensuring solar projects meet regulatory and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, construction, project management) to ensure project success.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and integrate new technologies to improve system efficiency and performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical degree
  • CAD experience
  • Proficient in SolidWorks
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
