We are seeking a Cost Controller to oversee financial planning, budgeting, and cost monitoring, ensuring alignment with our business objectives. This role includes analyzing expenses, identifying variances, and driving cost-saving initiatives. The candidate will work closely with teams to manage procurement and project costs, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement cost control systems to monitor and analyze project expenses, ensuring alignment with budgets and financial objectives.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, forecasts, and financial reports to support decision-making and optimize resource allocation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual and planned costs, and provide actionable recommendations for corrective measures.
Establish and maintain processes for tracking inventory, procurement, and material costs, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and accounting standards while managing cost control processes.
Drive financial planning initiatives, including annual budgeting, project cost projections, and long-term financial strategies.
Provide regular updates and insights to management on cost performance, key metrics, and financial risks.
Utilize financial software and tools to streamline cost monitoring and reporting processes.
Support audits and financial reviews by preparing and presenting cost-related data and documentation.
Continuously evaluate and refine cost control methodologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and optimize procurement strategies.
Qualification
A Qualified Chartered Accountant with experience in cost accounting and financial management.
Proven experience in cost control, financial planning, or accounting, with a strong understanding of cost management principles.
Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reporting and compliance.
Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
