DevOps Specialist

Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10+ years hands-on experience in a DevOps role, with a deep understanding of both development and operational disciplines. The DevOps Administrator is expected to perform a variety of complex project tasks that will require creativity and original thinking.Responsibilities:Linux/Unix Administration: Setup, configure, and administer Linux servers. Perform regular system maintenance to ensure optimal performance.Scripting and Automation: Use scripting languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell to automate repetitive tasks and streamline DevOps processes.Configuration Management: Implement and maintain infrastructure and application configurations using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.CI/CD: Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLabCI/CD, or CircleCI. Automate and optimise deployment processes.Containerization and Orchestration: Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Manage deployments, scale systems, and ensure high availability.Cloud Platforms: Provision, manage, and optimise resources on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.Monitoring and Logging: Monitor system and application performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack. Set up alerts, analyse logs, and troubleshoot issues proactively.Version Control: Manage codebases with version control systems like Git. Implement branching, merging, conflict resolution, and integrate version control into the CI/CD pipeline.Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilise IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure resources.Security and Compliance: Ensure the security of our infrastructure and adherence to industry regulations.
