Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Country Manager to lead and expand our operations in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s strategic initiatives in the region, driving revenue growth, and establishing the company as a key player in the Indian life sciences market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve company objectives in India, aligning with global and regional goals.
- Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, partnerships, and market trends to drive growth and expand the company’s footprint in the Indian market.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across various functions, including sales, marketing, and operations, ensuring alignment with company values and objectives.
- Distributor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with distributors, ensuring effective collaboration to meet sales targets and grow market share. Monitor distributor performance and implement strategies to optimize distribution networks.
- Financial Management: Oversee the country’s P&L, budget, and financial performance, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local regulations and industry standards, maintaining the highest levels of integrity and ethical practices.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and partners, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term business success.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to regional and global leadership on market conditions, business performance, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA) is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the life sciences industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and growing a business in a complex, competitive market.
- Strong understanding of the life sciences landscape in India, including market dynamics, regulatory environment, and key players.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to make data-driven decisions.
- Fluency in English; additional regional languages are a plus
