EMSEC is an innovative research company founded in the United Kingdom, with offices across India. We specialize in providing services and products related to security research, with a particular focus on Cryptographic and Electromagnetic Side Channel (TEMPEST) security.
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Composites Engineer to join our fabrication and R&D team. The role involves working on the design, manufacturing, and testing of composite materials and structures, with a focus on aerospace and UAV applications. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, hands-on fabrication experience, and craftsmanship in producing high-quality composite parts. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, lightweight, and high-performance products.
Design, develop, and fabricate composite components with emphasis on aerospace and unmanned systems.
Apply knowledge of fibres, resins, fillers, and reinforcement materials in selecting the right combinations for projects.
Support machining of composites with proper tool selection and handling.
Maintain workshop safety standards and ensure correct handling of resins, adhesives, and chemicals.
Contribute to the structural design and fabrication of UAVs and unmanned aircraft systems.
Design test fixtures, perform testing and evaluation with an understanding of strength of materials principles.
Document fabrication processes, inspections, and results for quality assurance.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical, software, and systems engineers, to achieve project goals.
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Materials, or related engineering discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in composites fabrication, testing, and material selection.
Basic understanding of composite materials and their applications.
# Practical, hands-on approach to fabrication and testing.
# Familiarity with composite manufacturing methods including hand lay-up, vacuum bagging, and advanced processes.
# Understanding of composite machining and tool usage.
# General materials science knowledge.
# Attention to detail, creativity, and a strong sense of design aesthetics.
# Exposure to additive manufacturing and hybrid structures.
Hands-on experience with UAV composite structures.
Experience with Drones, UAVs, or aircraft component design.
