The Data Science team at Meesho is looking for a Lead Data Scientist to drive high-impact initiatives across multiple charters. This role involves leading a team of data scientists, partnering with product, engineering, and business teams to transform raw data into scalable solutions. The position combines deep expertise in machine learning and data systems with strategic problem-solving to shape the future of the platform.
Mentor a team of data scientists (DS2s and DS3s) with project planning and execution
Collaborate with ML engineers and big data teams to build scalable ML pipelines
Continuously track and improve model performance using state-of-the-art techniques
Partner with engineering to ensure data reliability and compliance
Explore new areas of opportunity through research and data mining
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
~6–8 years of experience in data science
~ Strong track record of building and deploying ML solutions at scale
~ Strong foundations in statistics and linear algebra
~ Proficiency in Python and SQL
~ Experience with large-scale data processing using Apache Spark, Hadoop/Hive, or cloud platforms
~ Strong programming fundamentals and production-ready code experience
~ Experience with A/B testing and experimental design

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
~6–8 years of experience in data science
~ Strong track record of building and deploying ML solutions at scale
~ Deep understanding of core ML techniques
~ Strong foundations in statistics and linear algebra
~ Proficiency in Python and SQL
~ Experience with large-scale data processing platforms
~ Strong programming fundamentals
~ Experience with A/B testing and experimental design

Master's degree is a plus
Experience with reinforcement learning or sequence modeling techniques
Contributions to ML libraries, internal tools, or research publications
This is a 5-day work from office role based in Bangalore. The team culture emphasizes work-life balance with activities like karaoke and team discussions.
