Job Description
The ideal candidate must be a Mechanical Engineer with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and expertise in designing HVAC systems for pharmaceutical facilities. The candidate should have excellent problem-solving skills, a strong grasp of cleanroom and regulated environment requirements, and be comfortable working collaboratively in a team.
Responsibilities
Conduct client meetings to gather project requirements and understand the detailed scope of work.
Prepare HVAC Design Basis Reports tailored to pharmaceutical facilities.
Perform HVAC heatload calculations.
Design cleanroom HVAC systems in compliance with GMP and regulatory standards (e.g., US FDA, EU GMP).
Review of Air Flow Diagrams (AFD), air distribution system design, including duct routing, terminal air distribution component selection, manifold selection, etc.
Select and size HVAC equipment such as Air Handling Units (AHUs), Dehumidifiers, DX and VRV based systems.
Prepare Technical specifications and detailed project documentation, including BOQs and tender documents.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure proper integration of utilities and services.
Collaborate with draftsmen to prepare and review project drawings.
Approve vendor drawings and conduct technical evaluations of vendor submissions.
Provide technical support for on-site implementation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.
Provide technical and commercial comparisons of vendor bids and assist clients during procurement.
Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
4 to 6 Years of experience in HVAC design, particularly in pharmaceutical or cleanroom environments.
Previous experience in an Engineering Consultancy firm in the pharmaceutical sector is highly desirable.
