Junior Landscape Architect Reporting to: Head of Department – Landscape and Urban Design Business: Residential Real Estate Location: Bangalore At Total Environment, we love creating experiences that touch the senses and evoke emotions. Since 1996, we have been designing, building and managing some of the best homes in the world. We currently have 8 projects with around 4500 custom designed, furnished homes as well as commercial and institutional buildings, covering a total saleable area of approximately 14 million square feet under construction at Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad. Role Purpose TE is currently initiating a search for a talented Landscape Architects to be a part of the Urban Design and Landscape Design team and will be based in our Bangalore offices. As a Landscape Architect will work under the direction of the Department and in collaboration with other team members on master planning, landscape design and urban development projects across all TE projects and will bring a passion for creativity, storytelling, artistry, and positive energy to our design studios In Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have strong creative and problem-solving skills and an ability to provide meaningful contributions within our fast-paced, creative environment. To be successful for this role, candidates must demonstrate their experience from a design-oriented background and be passionate about their role in the design and construction of environments. They must demonstrate skill in detailed design and expertise in handling of Sites. You should demonstrate a strong motivation to make a difference in the world, working from a strong personal ethics. Scope: Design & Customization Landscape master planning, landscape design, public realm design. Technical delivery Time & Team management Innovation Responsibility: Assist on the design and developing of landscape master planning and landscape design projects. Undertake site visit, site surveys and site analysis. Prepare project content including graphic content for presentation (e.g. plans, diagrams, renderings, maps, 3-D views), report layout and text. Prepare all GFC drawings for the masterplan and masterplan components, coordinating with other teams- architecture and services teams. Prepare planting and lighting design at the masterplan level. Undertake environmental study and prepare necessary drawings for statutory clearance. Plan and communicate project deadlines, design needs/changes with the project team(s), Project Coordinator/ Project Head. Interact with clients through meetings and presentations. Understand and adhere to the project's contract requirements. Accountability: Responsible for the company to meet its project objectives and deadlines keeping in view profitability, economy, and design excellence. Role-model Principles of the Company, team to collaborate, cooperate, and create excellence through design. You will create an Impact If you: Apply sound design philosophy to achieve project profitability. Are a great fit with the company culture: entrepreneurial, customer-centric, strong design understanding and creating a sensitively welcoming workplace Requirements: Master of Landscape Architecture from a premier college. 3-8 years of experience as a landscape architect in an established landscape design-based firm (landscape design, public realm design and planning, architecture) Excellent inter-personal and communication skills (oral and written English). Pro-active and self-motivated, with the desire to make a valuable contribution. Collaborative and adaptable team player. Knowledge in project management and project administration, with the ability to front clients if needed. Knowledge of plant species and planting. Ability to work under tight timeframes. Ability to have mentored and led a small team. Design and graphic presentation skills, especially using Adobe suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch-up). Sketching would also be a plus. Proficient knowledge of Auto CAD and Revit. Software such as GIS is a bonus.
