Roles and Responsibilities:
Creative Direction: Define and drive the design philosophy for the apparel and home categories, ensuring a cohesive brand aesthetic.
Market & Trend Analysis: Conduct research on global and local trends to develop innovative, trend-forward collections tailored to our target audience.
Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end design process from concept to final product, ensuring quality, safety, and sustainability across all products.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with merchandising, sourcing, and marketing teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and brand vision.
Vendor & Material Sourcing: Identify and collaborate with the right suppliers to efficiently bring designs to life with high-quality materials.
Consumer-Centric Approach: Maintain a strong focus on customer preferences and needs, ensuring designs are relevant, functional, and appealing.
Sustainability & Compliance: Ensure all designs meet safety, ethical, and environmental standards, promoting responsible and sustainable practices.
Requirements:
12+ years of experience in apparel/home design, preferably within luxury or export retail brands focused on the baby/kids category.
Strong understanding of fabrics, trims, and production techniques. Ability to balance aesthetics with functionality and comfort.
Proven experience managing and mentoring a design team, fostering creativity and collaboration.
Excellent knowledge of design software including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD.
Ability to translate global market insights into compelling designs for the target audience.
