Directly responsible for leading the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs at KA especially specialised in occupational safety (Work safety)
HSE Processes and Compliance:
- Ensure implementation of HSE processes in accordance with Kumaraguru Institutions (KI), and applicable legal requirements.
Training and Capacity Building:
- Train line managers, supervisors, and hourly employees to complete inspections, report leading indicators, and comply with HSE requirements.
Audits, Inspections, and Corrective Actions:
- Conduct audits and inspections; assist line management in developing and tracking completion of corrective action plans.
Incident Management:
- Ensure all incidents are reported, classified, investigated, and analyzed for root causes.
HSE Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain HSE documents and records.
- Prepare and issue HSE reports.
Business Continuity Planning:
- Deploy and monitor business continuity planning.
Safety Culture and Communication:
- Communicate and motivate safety practices at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Graduate or a Post Graduate Degree from an accredited institution in a health and safety related discipline that includes some formal safety component
- At least 5 years of experience as a leader or team member in
1. Implementing safety systems, policies and procedures
2 Changing a safety culture
3 . Developing and leading teams
4 .Safety auditing/inspecting

- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to liaise with various levels of management and employees
- Strong ability to organize, analyses, interpret and take sustainable corrective action
