We are seeking a talented, motivated, and responsible Software Development Engineer 2 (SDE-2) to join our dynamic engineering team. As an SDE-2, you will be responsible for developing end-to-end new features for the platform. You will be dealing with multiple subsystems and web services. Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop : Design, implement, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend code using Go, Java, Node.js, and Python.
- Architecture and Scalability : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions for backend architecture and system scalability.
- Database Management : Work with various databases, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity in order to deliver high-performance backend solutions.
- API Development : Develop and maintain RESTful APIs in a micro-services architecture, ensuring seamless integration with other micro-services and front-end applications.
- Code Review : Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and mentor junior developers.
- Performance Optimization : Identify and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the backend applications.
- Collaboration : Collaborate with front-end developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software products.
- Documentation : Create and maintain technical documentation for the backend codebase and APIs.
Skills And Expertise
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. (A master's degree is a plus) from a Tier-1 college.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience as a Backend Developer with a focus on Node.js development. We are flexible in terms of language but having Node.js experience is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Python, with knowledge of at least one Python web framework.
- Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Solid understanding of database technologies, including both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of best practices for code optimization and security.
- Having knowledge of Kubernetes and container based deployments.
- Collaboration and Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to analyze complex technical problems and propose practical solutions.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Ownership: Demonstrated a sense of ownership and accountability for project deliverables.
