We are seeking a highly skilled Sentinel Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in creating and managing dashboards in Microsoft Sentinel, with a strong capability to seamlessly transition between Splunk and Sentinel environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Dashboard Development & Optimization :

  • Design, develop, and optimize complex dashboards in Microsoft Sentinel for real-time monitoring and analysis.
  • Ensure dashboards are user-friendly, scalable, and tailored to business needs.

Integration & Porting :

  • Migrate data and configurations between Splunk and Sentinel environments efficiently and securely.
  • Develop strategies for seamless integration of Sentinel with other systems and tools.

Data Analysis & Insights :

  • Analyze large datasets to provide actionable insights using Sentinel's advanced analytics features.
  • Implement automation for threat detection and response workflows.

System Optimization :

  • Enhance the performance of Sentinel environments by fine-tuning configurations and resource allocations.
  • Ensure optimal data ingestion and storage practices.

Collaboration & Training :

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand security and operational requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on Sentinel best practices.

Incident Response Support :

  • Assist in designing incident detection and response frameworks within Sentinel.
  • Collaborate with security teams to monitor and respond to threats in real time.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, including dashboard creation and advanced analytics.
  • Strong expertise in Splunk, with the ability to port configurations and data between Splunk and Sentinel.
  • Proficiency in KQL (Kusto Query Language) for creating custom queries in Sentinel.
  • Familiarity with SIEM frameworks, log management, and security protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Microsoft Sentinel or Splunk.
  • Experience in cloud security, particularly within Azure environments.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.
