Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for backend services and APIs using Node.js.
Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members to establish objectives and design cohesive, user-friendly APIs.
Implement data storage solutions, ensuring responsiveness and high availability.
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to improve functionality and scalability.
Optimize application performance, considering security, scalability, and reliability best practices.
Participate in code reviews, contribute to improving coding standards, and ensure best practices across all projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
3+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js and API development.
Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, RESTful services, and data storage solutions such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Proficiency in JavaScript, and familiarity with TypeScript is a plus.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies like Docker.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn and adapt.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with API security best practices and knowledge of OAuth, JWT, etc.
Familiarity with microservices architecture and serverless frameworks.
Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in a collaborative development environment.
