Formulation Scientist

Location: HSR Layout, Banglore

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: 20,000 - 35,000 PM

Job Summary:

  • Develop and optimize formulations for personal care products such as oils, shampoos, creams, lotions, and bars.
  • Ensure that products meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and consumer preferences.
  • Handle licensing and other legal formalities related to product development and market approvals.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and improve formulations for personal care products, ensuring they are safe, effective, and meet performance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale formulations from lab to commercial production.Conduct stability, compatibility, and performance testing to ensure product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards (FDA, EU Cosmetics Regulations, etc.), including preparing necessary documentation for licensing and approvals.
  • Handle licensing processes and ensure products meet all required legal and regulatory formalities.
  • Work closely with marketing, packaging, and production teams to align product development with business and consumer needs.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related field.

Experience:

  • (3-5) years of experience in personal care product formulation (shampoos, creams, oils, bars, etc.).
  • Experience in handling regulatory and licensing formalities for personal care products.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, formulation techniques, and stability testing.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and licensing requirements for personal care products.
  • Good communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with natural or sustainable formulations.
  • Knowledge of dermatological testing and clinical trials.
  • Familiarity with international regulatory standards and licensing requirements.
