Job Description: Senior Architect Position Title: Senior Architect Department: Design and Planning Reports To: Head of Design/Design Manager About the Role As a Senior Architect at Architeca Design Build Firm, you will oversee the architectural design process, manage a team of Junior Architects, and ensure the seamless translation of client aspirations into practical and innovative designs. This role demands exceptional leadership, client consultation expertise, and the ability to balance creative vision with technical precision. You will take ownership of the entire design and scope, from initial consultation to project delivery, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards. Client-Centric Approach: Prioritize understanding and addressing client needs, creating designs that exceed expectations. Leadership and Mentorship: Guide and develop Junior Architects, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment. Proactive Problem-Solving: Anticipate challenges and provide innovative solutions to maintain project timelines and quality. Adaptability and Flexibility: Be responsive to evolving client requirements and site conditions, adapting designs as necessary. Key Responsibilities Client Consultation and Sales Support: Conduct initial consultations with potential clients to understand their requirements and vision. Present design concepts and proposals that align with client expectations and inspire confidence. Collaborate with the sales team to convert consultations into confirmed projects. Design Ownership: Oversee the development of architectural designs from concept to completion. Review and refine designs prepared by Junior Architects to ensure quality and alignment with client requirements. Ensure designs comply with building codes, regulations, and sustainability principles. Team Leadership and Coordination: Manage, mentor, and guide Junior Architects, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion. Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the design team. Site Visits and Execution Support: Conduct periodic site visits to ensure designs are implemented accurately and resolve on-site challenges. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of designs. Scope and Budget Management: Define and manage the scope of work for projects, ensuring clarity and alignment with client expectations. Collaborate with cost estimators to ensure designs are feasible within the client’s budget. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and scope outlines. Maintain clear and organized records of design revisions, client approvals, and team deliverables. KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) Client Satisfaction: Achieve a minimum client satisfaction score of 90% based on consultation and design delivery. Timely Delivery: Ensure 95% of design deliverables are completed within agreed timelines. Conversion Rate: Convert at least 30% of initial consultations into confirmed projects. Team Productivity: Ensure Junior Architects complete 95% of assigned tasks within deadlines. Design Accuracy and Compliance: Maintain a 98% accuracy rate in designs, minimizing errors and rework. Site Coordination Efficiency: Resolve 90% of site-related design issues within 48 hours. Qualifications and Skills Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (B. Arch) or equivalent. Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field (preferred). Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of experience in architectural design, with at least 2 years in a senior role. Proven track record of successfully managing design teams and delivering complex projects. Technical Skills: Expertise in design tools such as Auto CAD, Revit, Sketch Up, Lumion, and Photoshop. Strong understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and sustainability standards. Proficiency in project management tools and methods. Behavioural Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills for client consultations. Leadership and mentorship abilities to inspire and manage a team.
