Europa Worldwide Group is an ambitious independent logistics operator with three divisions, Europa Road, Europa Air & Sea, and Europa Warehouse, and has been featured in The Sunday Times Top Track 250 for three years.
The group employs over 1,400 people with 17 sales offices in the UK, and the Republic of Ireland, plus European teams in France Belgium and the Netherlands and internationally in Cape Town Hong Kong, China, India and the UAE.
We are looking for
An experienced air & sea freight sales professional to develop business for our New Delhi branch.
Our Air & Sea division has expanded significantly over the last 2 years and we’re continuing to expand our Global team. Reporting into the Country Head, our driven, experienced, and entrepreneurial Business Development Managers will develop a portfolio of customers through external sales, maintaining the relationship and maximising all sales opportunities.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity for someone who wants full autonomy in a role which allows you to experience what it’s like to ‘run your own business’

What you will do as an Business Development Manager
- Build and maintain a customer base to expand revenue streams.
- Plan personal sales activity effectively with regular contact via telephone, email and face to face communication.
- Establish new overseas agencies & approving either exclusive or nonexclusive agency agreements as well as gaining best buying rates from agent network for the organization’s business.
- Enhance business with existing agents – re-profiling – looking for more opportunities to organically grow the business.
- Identify/develop new business opportunities & ensure consistent revenue growth.
- Consistently achieve individual sales targets.
- Establish and plan key accounts.
- Self-generate appointments to maximise revenue.
- Obtain and maintain excellent knowledge of Europa products and services.
- Provide advice and guidance to resolve queries and objections and ensure follow up and resolutions are delivered.
- Be fully accountable for the growth of GP (gross profit) across these modes and in line with a structured sales scheme.
- Participate in market campaigns and understand related literature.
- Ensure you comply and follow our company values, which we refer to as ‘Our Approach to Business’
Our Ideal Air & Sea BDM
Proven experience in an Air & Sea / Ocean sales role and in-depth knowledge of freight forwarding
Commercially focused with a strong passion for customer service
Self-motivated and driven with an entrepreneurial spirit
A confident communicator with a passion for their work
The ability to be a self-starter, build own sales pipeline as well as manage customer accounts and relationships
The ability to work successfully in an autonomous role
