Job Title: QA Technical Test Architect Experience Level: 15+ Years (with 3+ years in QA architecture or technical leadership role) The QA Technical Test Architect is responsible for defining and driving the overall test automation strategy, test architecture, and quality engineering best practices across all QA projects. This role requires a strong blend of hands-on technical expertise, leadership, and strategic vision to ensure the delivery of high-quality software through scalable, maintainable, and efficient testing solutions. QA Strategy & Architecture Establish a unified test architecture that supports UI, API, mobile, and performance testing. Define the test strategy for enterprise-level solutions covering functionality, performance, security, and integration. Selenium and Playwright/ Cypress, Appium, RestAssured, Postman, JMeter). Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions). Drive automation in cloud-based test environments (e.g., AWS, Azure). Mentor and guide QA engineers and automation developers across projects. Review code, test design, and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards. Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure testability and early defect detection. Lead PoCs for new tools, frameworks, and performance testing solutions. Quality Governance & Best Practices Establish QA processes and ensure adherence to enterprise QA standards. Define and maintain test data management, environment management, and defect triage processes. Promote Shift-Left and Shift-Right testing approaches. Partner with stakeholders (Product, Development, DevOps, Security) to align QA goals with business objectives. Participate in architectural reviews to identify quality risks early. Provide technical input in project estimation, planning, and risk management. Act as a QA SME in client and leadership discussions. Automation Tools: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, RestAssured, Postman. Programming: Java, C#, JavaScript(at least one strongly preferred). API Testing: Performance Testing: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps. Cloud Testing: AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack, or Sauce Labs. Database Validation: SQL, Oracle, MongoDB. Experience with microservices testing and contract testing (e.g., Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with AI-driven testing tools (Testim / Mabl / Functionize). Experience in setting up performance monitoring and observability dashboards (Grafana, Prometheus). Exposure to security testing (OWASP, Burp Suite, ZAP). Ability to lead distributed teams and manage multiple QA projects. Passion for innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
