Serve as a staff resource on academic integrity and issues such as copyright, intellectual property rights and intellectual freedom. Provide group and individual instruction in information literacy skills, including digital and media literacy, research strategies, and use of resources. Actively promote reading and library use through such activities as storytelling, book talks, displays, publications, reading programs, and special events. Prepare and administer the library budget. Organizing and maintaining the library collection Providing instruction on how to use the library, including research and information literacy skills Planning and delivering library programs, such as author visits or book clubs Collaborating with teachers to design and implement research projects and other library-based learning activities Keeping track of library budget and statistics Participating in professional development to stay current with new trends and technologies in librarianship Librarians will also be responsible for managing and maintaining digital resources such as e-books, databases, and research tools. They may also be responsible for the supervision of library staff and volunteers.
