Position Summary
An Estimation Engineer is responsible for estimating the quantity and cost of materials required for the projects. They work closely with the engineers, and project managers to determine the materials needed for each phase of the project. maintaining accurate records of material quantities, costs. Must require to have work knowledge of architectural drawings. Need to have experience in Estimation, Material Takeoff, Quantity Takeoff, and related software. Need to be good at excel. People with experience in any quantity takeoff software like Logikal, proest or other software will be preffered.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for accurately estimating and quantifying mechanical materials required for construction and engineering projects. This role involves collaboration with project managers, mechanical engineers to ensure precise and comprehensive material lists are generated.
Estimation, Material Takeoff, Quantity Takeoff, and related software.
Review mechanical project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation to understand the scope of work.
Collaborate with project managers and mechanical engineers to identify specific mechanical material requirements and specifications.
Utilize industry-specific software tools and systems to perform accurate material take-offs for mechanical components.
Quantify materials based on mechanical drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
Provide detailed lists of mechanical materials required for each phase of the project.
Work closely with the estimating team to translate mechanical material quantities into cost estimates.
Assist in the development of accurate and competitive project bids for mechanical aspects.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality and functionality of mechanical systems.
Maintain accurate records of mechanical material quantities, cost estimates, and related documentation.
Generate reports and documentation to support project planning, budgeting, and procurement activities.
Ensure that all mechanical material take-off documentation is organized and easily accessible.
Collaborate with project teams, mechanical engineers, and procurement professionals to validate mechanical material requirements.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to address any discrepancies or changes in project specifications related to mechanical components.
Stay updated on mechanical engineering trends, new materials, and industry standards to enhance accuracy in material take-offs.
Provide feedback on processes and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy in estimating mechanical materials.
Skills and competencies
Auto CAD, Experience in estimation, material Takeoff and Quantity Takeoff
Quick learner.
Basic interpersonal skills, ability to understand communication.
Ability to identify problems and seek help when needed.
Take responsibility for own tasks and seek to learn more.
Experience & Qualification
Experience Requirements: 2 to 4 Years.
Educational Qualifications: BE Mechanical
Software Skills: Auto CAD, Logikal, Proest.
