What we are looking for Role: Oracle Database Administrator Experience Range: 8 – 12 Years Location: Pune & Chennai, Bangalore , Delhi Must-Have: Excellent knowledge of Oracle database platform. Knowledge of configuring Linux and Windows operating systems for optimal database performance. Good amount of knowledge in networking, storage, server, and virtualization layers. Excellent knowledge of logical and physical database design. Excellent knowledge of database installation and configuration. Excellent knowledge of backup and recovery strategies. Excellent knowledge of database performance and tuning. Excellent knowledge of database migrations and upgrades. Excellent knowledge of clustering and high availability. Excellent knowledge of replication and disaster recovery. Excellent knowledge of database security and auditing. Excellent knowledge of data security governance and regulations such as GDPR and SOX. High-level working knowledge on My SQL, Postgre SQL, and Mongo DB is added advantage Good-to-Have: Working knowledge of Oracle 11g / 12c / 18c / 19c (including RAC, ASM, Data Guard and ODA appliances). Good working knowledge of MSSQL (including Always-On and Analysis Services). Working knowledge of SAP (Sybase) ASE 12.5 / 15.7 / 16.0. Working knowledge of Mongo DB 3.4 / 3.6 / 4.0 / 4.2. Good working knowledge of Snowflake. Working knowledge of SQL, T-SQL and PL-SQL. Working knowledge of Python, Perl, Bash, Power Shell, C#, Java, Ruby. Working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Oracle Solaris. Working knowledge of Windows Server. BMC Control-M, ESX VMWare Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role : Responsible for ensuring daily health and compliance checks are performed for all Production systems. Responsible for ensuring database systems are backed up successfully and any issues are promptly resolved. Responsible for ensuring database monitoring alerts are detected promptly and satisfactorily resolved. Responsible for ensuring sufficient capacity is available to accommodate projected BAU growth. Responsible for ensuring all emails sent to the team distribution list are responded to in a timely manner. Responsible for executing disaster recovery procedures when necessary. Responsible for applying database security updates as per defined policies. Responsible for ensuring that all project/investment related workloads are delivered according to plans and budget defined. Responsible for ensuring all operational procedures are kept current and accurate. Responsible for participating in On-Call rotation, triaging, and addressing production issues as they arise.
