Candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of Engine Quality Control - Field Quality processes.
Responsibilities
Monitoring and Evaluation : Continuously track and assess engine and transmission performance in real-world conditions . This includes analyzing data from vehicle diagnostics and field reports to identify trends or recurring issues.
Problem Identification : Diagnose problems or defects that arise in the field . This involves investigating complaints, performing root cause analysis, and determining whether issues are due to design, manufacturing, or operational factors.
Quality Assurance : Ensure that engines and transmissions meet or exceed quality standards. This includes verifying that manufacturing processes are followed correctly and that any quality issues are addressed promptly
Field Testing : Conduct or oversee testing of engines and transmissions in real-world conditions. This can involve coordinating with test drivers, collecting performance data, and ensuring that tests are representative of actual usage.
Field Quality analysis
Perform problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement
Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection
Develop, execute, and analyze quality reporting measures
Participate in internal and external quality audits
Engine component Development
Validation execution
Durability parts failure analysis & issue resolution.
Warranty & Durability concern analysis
Monitoring market failure in vehicle – Engine
Root cause analysis and Countermeasure proposal/ Adoption
Monitoring Countermeasure effectiveness
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
4+ years' of industry experience
Strong knowledge of quality tools used in the industry
Analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving
