Job Title: Software Engineering Manager

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead and manage our development team. The Software Engineering Manager will oversee the design, development, and delivery of software projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical excellence. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of software development processes, and the ability to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing mentorship, feedback, and career development opportunities.
  • Plan, prioritize, and oversee the execution of software development projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and project goals.
  • Establish and enforce best practices in software development, coding standards, and quality assurance.
  • Monitor team performance and productivity, identifying and addressing areas for improvement.
  • Participate in architecture design, technical decision-making, and code reviews to ensure scalability and maintainability.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and business priorities.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends, integrating them as appropriate to improve processes and solutions.
  • Drive innovation within the team, encouraging creativity and continuous learning.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and risks associated with software projects.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience as a software engineer with a track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role within a software development team.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks relevant to the organization’s tech stack.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance standards in software development.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Certifications in project management or technical leadership (e.g., PMP, Certified ScrumMaster).
