We are looking for a Cloud Cost Optimization Engineer with deep expertise in cloud financial operations (FinOps), cost modeling, automation, and AI-enhanced optimization. You will work closely with engineering, cloud operations, SRE, governance, and finance teams to improve cloud cost efficiency, forecast spending, and build automated workflows that ensure sustainable scaling across AWS and Azure. Years of Experience : 6 - 8 years Location : Remote Key Skills: Primary Skills: AWS (advanced certifications), Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm charts, Python scripting Secondary Skills: Dashboard creation Certifications: Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, Kubernetes) preferred Key Responsibilities Cost Analysis & Optimization Lead comprehensive cost optimization of AWS and Azure cloud services and infrastructure Analysis of AWS and Azure billing data, usage data from asset inventory and monitoring utilization data to assess Engineering teams cloud consumption, identify wasteful spend, and provide actionable insights to optimize spend Financial analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in spending and financial performance Conduct deep-dive investigation of cost overruns and optimization opportunities through data-driven analysis Develop and maintain cost optimization strategies, roadmaps, and forecasting models Technical Leadership & Automation Automation with serverless products on AWS (Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge) and Azure (Functions, Logic Apps, Event Grid), Python, Terraform etc. to repeat analysis, data collection, recommendation generation, and track benefit implementation to reduce Cost overruns. Create and maintain cost attribution models to specific cost centers and automated reporting dashboards Implement cloud cost governance frameworks and best practices Stakeholder Engagement & Implementation Engage with Engineering & Cloud Platform teams to drive optimization implementation Work closely with engineering teams to understand infrastructure requirements and provide technical recommendations for cost-effective architecture improvements Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders Process Improvement & Governance Establish KPIs and metrics to track cost optimization progress and benefit realization Develop cost optimization playbooks, documentation, and training materials Conduct knowledge sharing sessions with engineering teams Required Qualifications Infrastructure & Cloud technology industry experience (6+ Years) Proficient in AWS and Azure infrastructure and services with hands-on experience in cost management tools (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management) Proficient in Python, AWS/Azure CLI, Terraform, and GitHub workflows (4+ Years) Proficient in data analysis tools e.g., Excel, SQL (4+ Years) Experience with cloud architecture patterns, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify patterns, and draw actionable insights Ability to translate complex technical data into business insights Experience in Engineering, Cost Optimization, and reducing Cloud spend Knowledge of Engineering practices and cost optimization methodologies What we offer: Best in class packages Paid holidays and flexible paid time away Casual dress code & flexible working environment Work in an engaging, fast paced environment with ample opportunities for professional development.
