We are looking for a Logistics Manager responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain process, ensuring that products are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively. This role involves coordinating the movement and storage of goods, managing logistics operations, and collaborating with various stakeholders, including suppliers, transportation providers, and internal departments. The Logistics Manager will also be responsible for developing strategies to enhance operational efficiency, managing logistics budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities –
Supply Chain Management:
Oversee the entire logistics operation, including procurement, warehousing, transportation, and distribution of products.
Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain processes and improve service levels.
Transportation Coordination:
Manage transportation logistics, including selecting carriers and negotiating freight rates to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
Monitor shipment schedules and transport performance, adjusting as necessary to meet customer demands.
Team Leadership:
Lead, train, and mentor logistics staff, fostering a productive and motivated work environment.
Set clear performance objectives and conduct regular performance evaluations for team members.
Budget Oversight:
Develop and manage logistics budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources to meet operational goals.
Analyze operational costs and efficiencies to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, transportation companies, and other service providers to ensure quality and reliability.
Negotiate contracts and service agreements to achieve favorable terms for the organization.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to logistics and transportation.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations governing shipping and transportation to minimize risks.
Performance Monitoring:
Establish KPIs and metrics to measure logistics performance and service levels.
Use data analytics to assess and improve logistics processes and operational efficiency.
Problem Solving:
Address logistics challenges and develop effective solutions to improve service delivery and minimize disruptions.
Analyze and resolve issues related to transportation delays, inventory discrepancies, and supply chain constraints.
Requirements -
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Proven experience in logistics management or a related field, with a strong understanding of supply chain processes.
Familiarity with logistics software and tools
Skills:
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Personal Attributes:
Strong leadership and team-building qualities.
